Sudan into the EU: 99% stopped at the border
Of the 197 EU food and feed notifications naming Sudan as the country of origin, 99% are border rejections rather than actions against goods already on sale, far above the 30% EU-wide average. The rejections concentrate in nuts, nut products and seeds.
Exposure here is a consignment tested and refused at entry, which costs a shipment and a delay rather than a recall.
82 of a possible 90Tier B, systematic first-party observation. Nothing at this tier is allowed past 90, however good it looks.
Verified September 9, 2026Rechecked every 180 days, next by March 8, 2027.
Held since January 1, 2012What repeatedly happened when brands acted. The earliest date we are willing to say this held. It may well have been true before that; we do not backdate a record past the evidence we have read. Supported, version 1.
