Terms and conditions
The agreement between you and orbt when you use our website, trial, and published research.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Who we are, and what you are agreeing to
These terms are an agreement between you and ORBT KOREA, Inc.(주식회사 오르빗코리아), a corporation registered in the Republic of Korea (business registration no. 772-86-03334), with its registered office at Startup Studio No. 8, 13 Gaeunsa 1-gil, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea (“orbt”, “we”, “us”).
By using tryorbt.com, its subdomains, the orbt trial, or our published research (together, the “services”), you agree to these terms. If you use the services on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and “you” means the company. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. What the services are
orbt provides AI-assisted market research and growth strategy for consumer brands: this website, our published research, a free trial that generates a research report on a brand, and paid engagements.
Paid engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement (a pilot agreement, order form, or services agreement). These terms govern the website, the trial, and our publications. If a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement wins for that engagement.
3. Eligibility
The services are for business use. You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your sign-in method (including magic links sent to your email) confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
4. The free trial
- The trial generates research from information you provide and from public sources. It is provided free, as is, to let you evaluate orbt.
- We may set fair-use limits, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the trial (or any free feature) at any time.
- Trial outputs are for your internal business use. You may share them within your company; do not resell them or pass them off as your own research product.
5. Your content
- You keep all rights to the information and materials you submit (“your content”). You grant us a license to host, process, and analyze your content, including with the AI systems described in our Privacy Policy, solely to provide and improve the services.
- You are responsible for your content: you confirm you have the right to share it with us and that it does not violate any law or anyone else’s rights. Do not submit information you are not allowed to share, and do not submit special categories of personal data (like health data).
- If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment. We may also use aggregated, de-identified usage information to improve our services.
6. Our content, and how you may cite it
The services, including the orbt name and logo, the website, the software, and our research methodology, belong to orbt or our licensors. We grant you no rights in them except as these terms state.
Our published research may be quoted. You are welcome to quote or reference material from our public publications and case studies, with attribution to orbt and, where practical, a link to the source page. Do not republish a substantial portion of a publication, and do not imply that orbt endorses you or your product.
7. Research, not guarantees
This section matters more than any other. Read it.
- Our outputs are research and recommendations, not professional advice. They are not financial, legal, investment, tax, or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment or for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
- We do not guarantee business results. Markets move, execution varies, and past client outcomes (including those in our case studies) do not promise future ones. You decide what to act on, and business decisions you make remain yours.
- Outputs may be AI-generated and may contain errors. We build verification into our process and cite sources so you can check them, but no research process is infallible. Verify anything material before you rely on it.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law, or use the services to harm others;
- probe, disrupt, or circumvent our security, rate limits, or access controls;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the services or outputs by automated means, except that search and AI answer engines may index our public pages;
- reverse engineer the services or use them to build a competing research product;
- submit content you have no right to share, or use the services to research individuals rather than businesses;
- misrepresent orbt outputs as your own product, or remove attribution from them.
9. Third-party services
The services link to and integrate third-party services, such as Cal.com for scheduling, Slack for delivery, and YouTube for video. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the services;
- our total liability for all claims arising out of the services is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you use the services as a consumer, any mandatory consumer protections of the law where you live are unaffected.
13. Indemnity
If you use the services on behalf of a business, you will defend and indemnify orbt against third-party claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms, provided we tell you about the claim promptly and let you control the defense.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the services at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for us or others, or if we discontinue a free service. Sections 5 through 13 and 16 survive termination.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the services evolve. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top; for material changes we will give you more direct notice, such as email or an in-product message. Continuing to use the services after a change takes effect means you accept it.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the services, and both sides consent to that venue. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections or forum rights that the mandatory law of your place of residence grants you.
17. General
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any signed agreement between us are the entire agreement about the services.
