How orbt started
Josh and Sunny met at Korea University’s Data Science Club and spent two years building products together, an M&A due-diligence tool and then an AI news reader. Both taught them the same lesson: the people who leaned on them hardest were founders with one question, what do I do next. And the brands that need that answer the most are the ones priced out of it. A McKinsey-style engagement runs $500K to $2M and ends in a single deck.
orbt is what we built instead. Our AI studies a brand and sends its team a few specific decisions a week, in Slack, and keeps learning as the market moves.
We tested it with our first client, a $5M US supplement brand, running a two-week daily-strategy pilot alongside their rebrand. The briefs surfaced a retention play the founder went on to build and cut competitor research down to a five to ten minute read. Sales roughly doubled around the relaunch. The rebrand launched at the same time, so we cannot take all the credit. The full case study is here, attribution included.
We are a small team out of Korea University, Seoul National University, TU Berlin, and Utah State. We placed Top 4 globally at Meet the Drapers, the first Korean team picked for the show and the youngest. Our founding engineer, Jiwoo, won Korea’s National AI Red Team Challenge, first out of more than 700. And we are backed by Mashup Ventures, one of Korea’s established early-stage funds.
We want every brand to have that kind of strategy, not just the ones that can afford a $2M engagement.
