South Korea into the EU: 24% stopped at the border
Of the 95 EU food and feed notifications naming South Korea as the country of origin, 24% are border rejections rather than actions against goods already on sale, close to the 30% EU-wide average.
Goods from here tend to clear the border and be caught later, which is the more expensive failure: a recall, not a refusal.
82 of a possible 90Tier B, systematic first-party observation. Nothing at this tier is allowed past 90, however good it looks.
Verified September 9, 2026Rechecked every 180 days, next by March 8, 2027.
Held since January 1, 2012What repeatedly happened when brands acted. The earliest date we are willing to say this held. It may well have been true before that; we do not backdate a record past the evidence we have read. Supported, version 1.

Recomputing the border-rejection share over every RASFF notification naming South Korea as origin returns a value outside 18% to 30%.
