45% of beauty terms pages are shared documents
The terms of service on a direct-to-consumer beauty storefront is usually not that brand’s document: 15 of 33 read here share at least 60% of their text with another brand’s, in 3 pools of which the largest covers 9 storefronts and one pool spans both origins.
Reading a brand’s terms as a statement about that brand measures its template vendor instead, and the arbitration or governing-law clause a competitor appears to have chosen may be one nobody there has read.
83 of a possible 97Tier A, primary document or measured outcome. Nothing at this tier is allowed past 97, however good it looks.

Held since August 5, 2026How the market is physically or commercially arranged. The earliest date we are willing to say this held. It may well have been true before that; we do not backdate a record past the evidence we have read. Supported, version 3.
This entry is wrong if
A repeat run finds fewer than a quarter of storefront terms pages sharing 60% of their text with another brand’s.
Written before the record was published, not after. If you can show this, send it to hello@tryorbt.com and the correction goes on the record with the entry.

OVERVIEW This website is operated by[ ]
Rovectin serves a terms of service that still contains the template’s unfilled blank where the operating company’s name belongs, quoted here verbatim from the live page. Similarity is the estimated Jaccard overlap of 8-word shingles after the brand’s own name, domain and email addresses are removed, sampled with a 96-element bottom-k signature. The 60% threshold is not a convention: across all 528 pairs of storefronts the median overlap is 0.00 and 412 pairs share under a tenth of their text, so the documents above 60% are not legal English converging, they are the same file. Read on Shopify storefronts only, on the path Shopify guarantees; 38 brand storefronts qualify. 5 served no readable terms page and are excluded rather than counted as silent: Dear, Klairs / Necessaire / Rhode / Summer Fridays / Topicals. 2 serve a pointer to another page and are also excluded: Farmacy / Naturium. Run commerce-20260805140548.

History
- v3corrected
Correction. The retirement recorded above was an operator error, not a finding. The derivation was run against collector run commerce-20260805053004 while that crawl was still in flight and had reached 4 of 66 storefronts, so every claim whose storefronts it had not yet read failed its sample gate and was retired. 44 claims were retired in one command for that reason. The claim was re-derived the same day from collector run commerce-20260805051110, a complete 66 of 66 crawl, and holds. Nothing about the market changed between the two records. The retirement stays in this log because the log is not edited; this entry is what it means. The instrument now refuses to derive from a run missing more than a tenth of the seeded storefronts, and a claim returning from retired now files its own status revision, which is why this correction had to be written by hand rather than appearing on its own.
- v2retired
Retired against collector run commerce-20260805053004: only 2 terms pages read, need 20. The claim held on the sample available when it was written and does not hold on this one.
