Turkey goods in Romania: under-represented
Goods made in Turkey are 15% of the consumer product recalls Romania publishes and 228.6% of its consumer-goods imports by value in 2023, which makes them under-represented. Recall counts and trade values are collected by different institutions for different purposes; the comparison is a ratio test, not a rate.
It separates “this origin gets pulled a lot” from “this origin ships a lot”, which is the difference between a risk and a headline.

Recomputing both shares — recalls from the OECD portal, imports from UN Comtrade over the same HS basket — moves the ratio across 0.67, changing the verdict.
