China regulates pet for biosecurity

When China files a rule touching pet, the objective it states most often is animal and plant health: 69% of 51 filings that state any objective. Next is quality requirements at 47%. The objective is the filer’s own, from the WTO’s fixed vocabulary; a filing can state several.

Biosecurity objectives are answered at the border with certificates and inspection, not in the factory.
